Be Green At Work

You can be the most environmentally-friendly person at home, but it can be hard to follow your green principles when you get to work. Even if your office doesn't follow the same rules you do on your own time, there are simple things you and your co-workers can do to make your workplace greener.

Reduce the amount of water your office produces. Print and copy documents on both sides of the paper. If you need to share an important document with your co-workers, send it over email instead of printing out copies for each person.

Recycle paper instead of throwing it away, and encourage your office manager to buy paper made from recycled materials. You can also recycle toner cartridges when they are empty.

Finally, become familiar with the power management features on your office equipment. Start by turning off your computer every night and make sure it is in a power save mode when it is on.

Reducing waste in the workplace not only helps the environment, but it can help save the company money as well.
